+ PRODUCTION LABOURER (Several jobs to fill)

Responsibilities: Reporting to the production supervisor, the labourers will have, depending on your assigned department, these responsibilities:

  • Mould and/or unmould the blades
  • Trimming, cutting, sanding and/or repairing blades
  • Assembling components according to specifications
  • All while ensuring that the health and safety, quality and production objectives of LM Wind Power Canada are met.

Desired skills:

  • Secondary School Diploma or Secondary V Equivalence
  • Work experience may compensate for the studies
  • Have between 0 and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Have a good spoken knowledge of French or English

+ PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (2 jobs to fill)

Responsibilities: Reporting to the production manager, the supervisor will have the following responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the performance and quality of each team member to ensure that the work is done correctly and on time
  • Organize, train and assign workers in keeping with production conditions
  • Monitoring the costs of labour, raw materials and consumables used, and recommend measures to reduce costs
  • Interpret work instruction and quality control procedures to meet specifications
  • Maintain documentation on production, quality and personnel
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as disciplinary measures and dismissal
  • Implement ongoing improvements and optimize the manufacturing process
  • Analyze and monitor quality reports
  • Manage production according to OHS procedures and objectives
  • Oversee employee development, motivation and management

Requirements:

  • A college diploma or four years’ experience in supervision on a production line

+ LEAN & CI TECHNICIAN (1 job to fill)

Responsibilities:

The primary objective is to support the Lean and CI Managers by being a key contributor and facilitator of LEAN and CI initiatives throughout the plant. The position facilitates teams in the collection and analysis of operational data, identification, prioritization, and implementation of LMPS tools and CI events and projects. The position plays a key role in the journey to achieve Operational Excellence status through waste analysis within the factory value stream.

  • Present, facilitate, and lead assigned process improvement events using methods of team building, team energizing, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, project management, and presentation skills.
  • Provide CI projects follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate management support, and achievement of expected benefits. Use appropriate measurement, analysis, and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements
  • Develop reports of overall Continuous Improvements activities, including accomplishments, participation, projected activities, and anticipated needs
  • Analyze operational data, trend analysis, statistical studies, Pareto charts, process maps, etc., to identify improvement and waste elimination opportunities
  • Coordinate with related departments and functions to assure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall process improvement direction
  • Participate in and coordinate the development of event charters and scheduling of events

Requirements:

  • College diploma or vocational technical training in a relevant field
  • Experience in technical documentation (work instructions, control plans, etc.)
  • Knowledge of problem solving methods
  • Lean training or equivalent is a strong advantage
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and ability to understand the English language
  • Analytical, structured, disciplined, innovative
